Duke of Edinburgh Scheme Success at The Walled Garden

We have been delighted to host a group of students from Ripon Grammar School to undertake their Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering work at Ripon Walled Garden.

During the sessions they helped in the woodland clearing brash and rejuvenating our bird hide which has also benefited from funding from the Betty’s Trees for Life fund.

The group also had a chance to find out more about learning disabilities and to understand the importance of a safeguarding culture in the social care sector.

We would like to thank the team for the all the hard work they did which has made a positive impact on the woodland and wish them luck with the rest of their Duke of Edinburgh Award adventures!
