Sales at the Walled Garden

The site will be operating a bit differently so we can observe social distancing measures and keep everyone safe.  This means limiting the number of people on site at any one time so you may be asked to wait before entry, the same as the supermarket queueing systems.  We are also only accepting card payments, no cash and contactless if possible.


Please be aware that there are no toilet facilities available on site.

Refreshments

we are selling hot and cold drinks, ice-creams and scones and cakes to take away.  You are welcome to sit in the orchard and woodland where we have installed benches to allow for social distancing.  We are not able to re-open the Tearoom presently, we will be using it as a learning space for our Members when they return.  We understand that this is disappointing for our Visitors but the safety and welfare of our Members is our priority as a service provider.  We are working hard to open as much space as we can to the public while keeping everyone safe.  We appreciate your support during this difficult time.

Order by Phone for Delivery or Collection

We are offering a service so you can order by phone for delivery or collection.

1. Using the lists provided here on the website browse the plants and other items we have on offer and make a note of your selection.
2. Call the Walled Garden between 8.30am 12.00 noon Monday to Friday to place your order and make a card payment over the phone.  We are offering free delivery on all orders over £25 in the HG4 area and will aim to have your order delivered within 3-4 days or sooner depending on level of demand.
3. On the day of delivery your order will be placed as close to your door as possible, the delivery driver will knock and step back and wait for you to come to the door so you can acknowledge delivery.  If you are not in the order will be left in a safe place.
4. If you chose to collect at the Garden your order will be made up and put in a collection area on site which has been set up to allow for social distancing.

Unfortunately we are not able to take returns at this time but please let us know if there is a problem with your order and we will do our best to rectify it.

Could you consider adding a donation to your order?  You can do this by using the ‘donate’ button on the website or letting our staff know you would like to donate when you place your phone order and add the donation amount to your total.
