We’ve been blessed with some lovely weather this summer, which has attracted lots of visitors to our beautiful gardens. We’ve been especially delighted to see so many families enjoying everything we have to offer.
It’s been an action-packed few weeks, with our Bug Fest trail, Summer Fun Week, lots of free activities and special visits from Ripon Library and North Yorkshire Rotters with their smoothie bike.
We’ve enjoyed a summer BBQ and music event, along with weekly interactive performances of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. There have been games in the orchard and a wonderful afternoon of super-soaker fun! It was certainly hot enough for everyone to get wet – and we mean VERY wet!
Our sandpit, mud kitchen and ride-on toys have been incredibly popular, while our café has been busy serving hundreds of drinks, tasty meals and delicious sweet treats.
The feedback from our visitors has been fantastic, and we’re especially pleased that so many people who discovered us for the first time are already planning to come back.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have had such amazing support from our local community and our wonderful volunteers. Their help has enabled us to offer so many activities completely free of charge – something that has been particularly welcomed by families looking for fun ways to keep children entertained during the busy, and often expensive, summer holidays.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, visited us, volunteered, donated and helped make this summer so special.
And the fun doesn’t stop here! We’ve got plenty more to look forward to:
🍎 Apple Day – 3rd October
🎃 Pumpkin Patch – from 17th October
🎄 And then… our very busy Christmas season!
We can’t wait to see you all again soon. Thank you, as always, for supporting our charity and helping make the Walled Garden such a special place to visit.
