We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of North Yorkshire, Nigel Corner, and his wife, Harriet, to visit the Walled Garden.
They thoroughly enjoyed their visit and spent time meeting many of our Members, taking part in literacy, gardening and vehicle maintenance sessions. They were able to learn more about the work we do and, most importantly, see first-hand how much our Members enjoy their time at the Walled Garden.
Nigel and Harriet also took the time to speak with our staff and volunteers, thanking them for all they do for the charity and our Members, both on behalf of himself as High Sheriff and as the King’s representative.
Following their visit, we were delighted to receive a lovely letter from Nigel, sharing how much he and Harriet had enjoyed their time with us. He spoke warmly about what a wonderful charity the Walled Garden is and how clear it was that our Members are truly cherished and so well cared for by our dedicated staff and volunteers.
It was a wonderful visit, and we are very grateful to Nigel and Harriet for taking the time to visit us and for showing such genuine interest in the work we do.
