As a Charity we have been providing day care support and work-based experiences for adults and young people in Ripon and District for almost 30 years.
Community integration is key to our success and we offer a rich and varied programme of activities across our two sites, St Wilfrid’s Bungalow and Ripon Walled Garden, that ensure that we are at the heart of our community. We aim to support every individual to develop the attributes that they need to contribute to our community and society. It is important that those skills are developed in a caring, friendly and supportive community, which can be found at Ripon Community Link.

Our beautiful garden - Ripon Walled Garden

Ripon Walled Garden, open to the public and a visitor attraction in its own right, offers work-based experience for Members both in horticulture and in our hugely popular Tea Room.  Members are supported to learn new skills in the historic Walled Garden, Victorian orchard and woodland. They all contribute to our “plot to plate”, those where we grow our own fruit and vegetables for use in the Tea Room, our outside catering and in our home-made produce.
We are open to the public from 9.30am to 3pm for the Tea Room and 4pm for the Garden Monday to Saturday. Entrance is free and visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the peace and tranquillity of the Garden, orchard and woodland.
In the spring the sales area is filled with young plants and bedding, ready for summer colour in your garden. In summer we have perennials and in the autumn there are bulbs to fill you with hope of spring colour next year. Throughout December the Garden and Tea Room open 7 days a week to get you ready for Christmas with sales of Christmas trees, wreaths and table centres, Christmas cakes and puddings, jams and chutneys. The on-site shop has a selection of gifts all year round.
Our woodwork volunteer works away steadily in the shed to make planters, bird tables, troughs for sale, all profits from which come back to Ripon Community Link. The wood is donated by local companies, for which we are very grateful,

St Wilfrid’s Bungalow

At our Bungalow, Members enjoy choosing from a range of activities including numeracy, literacy, art and crafts, drama, music & singing, health & wellbeing and much more. Skills development is enhanced in our strong community presence, at our bimonthly pop up café in Ripon Town Hall, rambling, shopping, running a shop and swimming - there is so much to do and each individual has a bespoke timetable designed to meet their assessed needs.
