Focused on quality, individuality and integration. CURRENT VACANCIES Woodwork Support Assistant We are looking for a Woodwork Support Assistant to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will support our Members who have a learning disability in Woodwork activities, making items for sale in our shop, completing customer orders, making items to be used on site. Every day is different and rewarding. This is an exciting and diverse role supporting our Members in their learning helping them achieve their goals all delivered within the beautiful Walled Garden environment. The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly and independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication and customer service skills and ideally have experience of working with people who have a learning disability. Experience in either teaching woodwork or has significant woodwork experience is essential. Site based services are varied and may also involve horticulture and gardening, catering, retail, health and wellbeing, drama, singing, numeracy and literacy. Support assistants are responsible for planning and leading sessions. Candidates must be flexible and able to work under pressure, and also as part of a wider team including volunteers. You would be part of a very dedicated, positive staff team and the hours are sociable 8.30am-4.30pm Monday and Wednesday (15 hours per week). The role may involve some Saturday working and occasional evenings to support events. Additional hours may be available from time to time.
