We also have a dedicated catering kitchen, where Members learn and celebrate their catering skills as they cook and bake items for sale in the cafe. This space is adapted so all Members can freely benefit from this incredible opportunity, with motorised parry tables to suit different heights of people, including those in wheelchairs, talking scales and other adaptations so every Member can be fully involved. Catering offers so much to our Members when following recipes and instructions they are practicing numeracy and literacy skills, as they read recipes using Easy Read if required or when weighing ingredients, learning or improving to tell the time as delicious cakes and traybakes are baking, and making new friends as their confidence grows.
