Our services

Our Ethos

At Ripon Community Link we use a person-centred approach to keep our service users safe, happy and healthy.  We offer work related experiences, learning and social opportunities.
We treat everyone as an individual, seeing the person first not their learning disability or behaviour.
We support every individual to make choices about the service they access and involve them and their families or carers in all aspects of the support and care we provide.

What we offer

Throughout the week there is a busy and varied timetable of activities and sessions designed to offer a wide range of learning opportunities.
We have a highly experienced and skilled team. Together they ensure that each individual’s unique talents are celebrated whilst developing a broad skill base, enabling and empowering them to grow in confidence and develop relationships.
Service users can develop existing skills and learn new ones at the bungalow, the garden and in the community where many activities take place.
Every service user is assessed and can choose an individualised programme from activities on offer.
This may include joining the rambling group, swimming or attending the leisure centre, undertaking performing arts including drama, music or our very own Music group, the “Music Men”.  We look at money management, including shopping, arts & crafts using different mediums to create individual or group pieces and fun learning activities focussing on numeracy and literacy.  We regularly visit the library and run our fortnightly pop-up coffee morning at Ripon Town Hall.  At the garden service users can take part in activities based around horticulture or catering in the on-site tearoom.
There are so many opportunities to access a varied and interesting programme.
