It is with great sadness we share the death of David Mortimer on Saturday 7th of March 2026. David, as a founder Trustee of Ripon Community Link in 1995 holds a special place in all of our hearts.
Our Honorary President, Barry Kay, also a founder Trustee said” David recognised the urgent need for a local Learning Disability service such as ours, and responded with great innovation and ambition to establish Ripon Community Link, a as leading Charity for people with learning Disabilities. It has been my great pleasure to work alongside David in establishing this wonderful Charity, David has always been very committed to our cause and shared his knowledge and expertise. David leaves behind a great legacy”.
Our Chair of Trustees, Dr Hilary Enevoldson said “ although I never had the privilege to work with David in person, it is clear David has been committed to, and supported our work since the inception of the Charity and we will continue to his honour memory in years to come.”
Victoria Ashley, Chief Executive, thanks David for all his contribution to our Charity and highlights the hugely positive impact David has made to so many lives over the past 31 years. Our condolences are with his family at this sad time.
