Today, we were delighted to welcome our wonderful volunteer team to the garden for a special afternoon tea, as a little thank you for everything they do to support our charity.
It was a lovely afternoon of good food, great conversation and plenty of laughter, giving our volunteers the chance to relax, mingle and meet others who may volunteer on different days.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have over 70 amazing volunteers supporting the charity in so many different ways – from gardening and supporting Member sessions to catering, administration, facilities, photography, fundraising and so much more. Every single one makes a difference.
Our CEO, Victoria and Chair of Trustees, Hilary, also spent time talking to the team about our service and our plans for the future, while sharing our heartfelt thanks. Without our incredible volunteers, we simply couldn’t deliver the service we provide to our vulnerable community.
No afternoon tea would be complete without delicious food! Our café team served up a wonderful spread of homemade sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche and the most amazing selection of cakes.
Despite the heavy rain earlier in the morning, the skies stayed dry for the afternoon, allowing everyone to enjoy a lovely time together in the garden.
